Osteopathic manual therapy

Osteopathic manual therapy is based on the structural integrity of the body and optimal alignment encourages the bodies intrinsic ability to self-heal through blood, nerve and lymphatic flow. An osteopathic manual practitioner has an extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Treatment can improve function, which can increase motion, reduce pain and enhance quality of life.

Before finding osteopathic manual therapy, Robyn’s experience growing up on a horse racing farm and playing competitive sports increased her interest in sport injuries. This passion led her to pursue and complete a Kinesiology degree at Acadia University in beautiful Wolfville, Nova Scotia. During her four years she worked as a student athletic therapist for the women’s basketball team, working closely with the therapy and coaching staff. The experience inspired her to continue her education at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy where she completed her four year masters.
